Trista
Office Manager
I started my career in the dental field as a part time temporary receptionist and immediately fell in love with the job! And now 14 years later I am the full time Office Manager here at SmileWorks Dental Group, and I still love it just as much as the day I started! I am a very social person, so I really enjoy the interaction with all our patients and my co-workers every day! I love the continuous learning opportunities this career gives me everyday! I grew up here in Lloydminster and have raised my daughter here as well. When I'm not at the office, I like to read, travel and most of all watch my beautiful daughter doing the thing she loves most, DANCE!
Amanda
Receptionist
I started working in the dental field with Dr. Jones and Dr. Schmidt back in 2012 and it was the best decision ever! The crew here at SmileWorks is like a family so it is really easy to enjoy being here! Outside of being a dental receptionist, I am mom of two beautiful gingers that keep their Dad and I very busy!
Denise
Receptionist
I started with SmileWorks Dental Group as a part time receptionist in February 2017 and quickly fell in love with the job and my co-workers. I couldn't wait to learn more aspects of the front end and quickly moved into a full time position. My husband and I share four beautiful daughters together and six wonderful grandchildren. When I'm not at work you can bet you'll find me spending time with one or all of my grandchildren!
Melissa
Receptionist
I have spent pretty much my entire life in the general are of Lloydminster. I was a stay at home mom to two girls for years then tired my hand at various other careers. I recently started at SmileWorks, and while learning the ropes takes a bit of time, I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere and the people I am working with, they have all been very welcoming and friendly! Outside of work I like to spend my time camping and gardening in the summer and spending time visiting or playing games with family and friends!
Stephanie
Receptionist
I started working in the dental field in 2015 and really enjoyed meeting new people and hearing of all their dental experiences. I moved to Lloydminster in 2013 with my fiance, Greg, as this is his home town. Outside of working I'm busy raising our two children, Lucas and Kenzie. Spending my winter months at the rink and summer months in the sun enjoying family time and camp fires. I am excited to be a part of a great team of strong women here at SmileWorks and meeting all the wonderful patients!
Bonnie
Dental Assistant
I have been a dental assistant for 31 years and 18 years of my career has been working at this office. I enjoy all aspects of my job, especially educating people on dental care and the importance of good oral hygiene. In my free time I enjoy spending good quality time with my family and friends. My husband Mark and I have been in Lloydminster for 24 years now, and have raised our 3 children here. As a family we enjoy camping, hiking and playing frisbee with our dog Charlie! Some of my hobbies are reading, drawing and gardening.
Erin
Dental Assistant
I have been working as a Registered Dental Assistant since graduating from N.A.I.T in 2003. Lloydminster is my hometown and the place where I have worked in dentistry most of my professional career, with the exception of a few years spent working in a Prosthodontic Dental Clinic in Edmonton. It was there that I was able to develop my skills in impression taking and lab work. Seeing smiles transformed is the most rewarding part of my job! I am married 15 years to my high school sweetheart, Khristopher, and together we are blessed with four beautiful children, Allie, Owen, Garrett & Paisley. Choosing to spend those early years at home with my littles acquiring my 'Domestic Engineering Certification' I grew a love for gardening, canning preserves, baking and warm cuddles on the couch with a good book, usually authored by Robert Much or of a similar variety. I remain active in the community as a member of our church's children's ministry leadership team and an executive committee member on the school council 'Parents as Partners'. I joined the SmileWorks team in 2017 and feel very privileged to work along side this wonderful group of ladies!

I have been with SmileWorks Dental Group for 6 years now. I started as the sterilization aid and quickly realized I wanted to do more. In June of 2021 I went back to school to get my dental assisting, and in January of 2023 I graduated with honors. My favorite thing about working at the office is all the laughs us girls have together and all the treats that come our way! After a busy day of work I love coming home to my 3 cats, Lexi, Mya and Luna, oh and I guess my husband too! In my spare time I really enjoy camping with my family and biking!
Pat
Dental Assistant
I began working in the dental field 40 years ago (Fun fact: that was so long ago that when I started assisting no one wore gloves or masks) my how things have changed over the years! I have worked at SmileWorks Dental Group for the past 3 years along side Dr. Bexson. We have a great team and I love the new technology Dr. Bexson and Dr. Schmidt have invested in. Prior to that I worked with Dr. Jones for 25 years, even got to work with him in this new office before he retired. I love my career and enjoy all aspects of my job, but mostly interacting with and helping our patients feel at ease during their dental visits! My family consists of my wonderful husband of 38 years, Fred, our amazing son Sean, our long awaited daughter in law Mandi, and our 18 year old cat Holly. Still waiting patiently for grand kids! When not at work (which is often, as I only work 2 days a week LOL) I enjoy golfing, yard work, golfing, reading and golfing. Not much of a winter enthusiast except winter vacations where I love to do my most favorite thing in the world...collecting sea glass...and of course golfing!

I started working at SmileWorks in September of 2024 as a sterilization aide. I have been accepted into a dental assisting program and will be heading back to school in the new year to become a registered dental assistant. This office has been the best work environment I have ever been in, everyone is so helpful and I learn new things everyday! I can't wait to be a full dental assistant. Outside of work, I love to go fishing on the warm summer days and stay inside on all the cold winter days!

I graduated from Dental Hygiene at the University of Alberta in 2005 and have since been working in the dental field for 15 years. I have been with the team at SmileWorks Dental Group for 12 years. I love working with patients to prevent gum disease and achieve great oral health. I love working with children and helping them learn about keeping their smiles nice, healthy and bright! I have been in the dental field for 17 years and still love it today! I was a Dental Assistant for the first 6 years and have now been practicing Dental Hygiene for the last 11 years. I have always been fascinated by teeth and the first thing I notice about a person is their smile! I love answering patients dental questions and providing them with my dental hygiene knowledge during their cleaning appointments! In my spare time I love to travel and learn about other cultures. Right now our travel plans are on hold, as our 3 little children keep us quite busy, and I am currently completing a Masters program through the University of Alberta.
Stephanie
Dental Hygienist
I graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2011 and have been working as a full time dental hygienist ever since. I love getting to meet people through my job that I may have never had the opportunity to meet otherwise. I enjoy helping people with their oral health if they want to listen! If you don't want to talk about teeth, I'm sure I'll find something to connect with. Whether you're a new parent and want an hour of quiet time, or a grandparent that wants to brag about your family! I want to make your time with me enjoyable and remove any fears or assumptions that we only want to nag you to floss LOL
I grew up in Cape Breton and moved back to my home town to start my dental career. Then in 2012 I moved to Lloydminster. By 2013 my whole immediate family had moved here also, so for the first time in a very long time, we were all in the same town again! Fun Fact: Both my sisters worked in the dental field and were the reason I decided on my career choice. Shortly after moving here, I met Brent and we married in 2016. We have 2 rescue dogs, Zave and Zues, that I love to spoil. We love to camp, fish, soak up the sun and sit by the camp fire. We enjoy travelling and trying new things. But he doesn't share my love for reality tv!
Joanne
Dental Hygienist
I grew up in Lloydminster in a sporting family. Following college, I worked as an interior designer and graphic artist, but in my mid-twenties I decided to look for a new career, and went to SIAST in Regina to take dental hygiene. After graduation I immediately headed west to BC to pursue my passion for skiing. I worked and played in the beautiful east Kootenays for 28 years and many of my patients became good friends. In the last few years my heart began calling me home, so recently my husband, Randy, and I moved back to the Lloydminster area so I could be closer to my parents and extended family. I am so happy to be working with the great staff at SmileWorks, and plan to finish out my career here! When I'm not working I'm painting with acrylics, a new calling for me.
